School leaders from the four selected counties in Kenya were taken through training by the GESCI technical team comprising of the Senior Education Specialist, ADSI Project Manager Kenya and the four project coordinators.

In June 2016, GESCI launched the Leadership Network for Sustainable Development to provide a space for collaboration,partnerships among its ALICT/LATIC alumni.

On 29th March 2017, GESCI’s African Knowledge Exchange programme organized a policy forum towards an inclusive policy environment for youth skills and enterprise development. The forum took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya.

On March 24, 2017 The GESCI Board of Directors and GESCI's senior management staff held the quarterly meeting to discuss implementation of the 2017-2020 GESCI Strategy

The GESCI Team actively participated in the ADEA 2017 Triennale centered on the theme “Revitalizing Education towards the Global 2030 Agenda and Africa’s Agenda 2063”

On 16th March 2017,an MOU set to run for 3 years, was signed in Dakar, Senegal by GESCI’s Chief Executive Officer, Jerome Morrissey and His Excellency, Minister of Primary,Secondary and Professional Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mr. Gaston Musemena BONGALA.

On 16th March ,2016 an MOU, set to run for 3 years was signed in Dakar, Senegal by GESCI’s Chief Executive Officer, Jerome Morrissey and the Chief of Staff Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Guinea (MoHESR), Republic of Guinea, Mme Cherif Zeinab CAMARA.

GESCI launched a Leadership Network for Sustainable Development (LN4SD) for its ALICT /LATIC alumni.

The training has an emphasis on guidance and direction together with technical, advisory, mentoring and consultative supports at every phase of the project rather than a re-establishment of the traditional teacher/student environment.
