Systems Thinking Workshop, Uganda

The Adapting assessment into policy and learning (ADAPT): Adolescent 21st Century Skills systems mapping workshop in Uganda brought together participants from Uwezo Uganda, District Education Officers (DEO), Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB), FICH, Secondary school teachers, Makerere University,National Curriculum Development Center (NCDC) RELI - Regional Education Learning Initiative in East Africa Uganda,Komo Learning Centres, Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE), Busitema university, Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES)- Directorate of Education Standards,Teacher Education, Training and Development, Policy and Planning, Luigi Giussani Foundation (LGF) and Stir Education are attending this workshop.

This workshop aimed at identifying areas in the assessment up take space that need intervention and quickly.

The workshop was facilitated by Resilient Africa Network, JM Education and Research Centre and Makerere University's College of Education and External Studies.
 

The ADAPT project is implemented by a Consortium of 3 partners: GESCI, Makerere University College of Education and External Studies and University of Notre Dame’s Global Center for the Development of the Whole Child and funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) under the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) program and is implemented in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
