Secondary Schools Receive Digital Equipment in bid to accelerate ICT Integration in the Education Sector

The Ministry of Education in Cote d’Ivoire in partnership with GESCI is implementing the African Digital Schools Initiative (ADSI) Programme, which is supported by Mastercard Foundation.
The Ministry of Education in Cote d’Ivoire in partnership with GESCI is implementing the African Digital Schools Initiative (ADSI) Programme, which is supported by Mastercard Foundation. ADSI is an innovative initiative, which seeks to improve teaching and learning and transform secondary schools into Digital Schools of Distinction through integration of ICTs. 20 Secondary schools received digital equipment including laptops and Digital Projectors. Teachers and students carrying out research and basic preparation for lessons will utilize these. This programme has also been implemented in Kenya and Tanzania reaching over 1500 teachers of STEM and other subjects. In Cote d’Ivoire alone, ADSI is reaching out to 200 teachers of STEM and 10,000 students of STEM and other subjects. Teachers have already gone through Face-to-Face training on Technology Literacy and the online training will kick off in June 2018.
