GESCI presents its African Knowledge Exchange (AKE) - Creative Media Venture Programme at AUC Banjul +10 Youth Event

GESCI is in Banjul this week to participate in the Banjul + 10 event organized by the AUC to celebrate 10 years implementation of the African Youth Charter. The team, headed by Jerome Morrissey, GESCI’s CEO, Duncan Onyango, creative media entrepreneur and former AKE tutor, and Alex Kirui, former student and creative media entrepreneur, presented GESCI’s AKE – Creative Media Venture program during both a side meeting and a plenary session yesterday
GESCI is in Banjul this week to participate in the Banjul + 10 event organized by the AUC to celebrate 10 years implementation of the African Youth Charter. The team, headed by Jerome Morrissey, GESCI’s CEO, Duncan Onyango, creative media entrepreneur and former AKE tutor, and Alex Kirui, former student and creative media entrepreneur, presented GESCI’s AKE – Creative Media Venture program during both a side meeting and a plenary session yesterday. GESCI's ‘AKE-Creative Media Venture’ builds African artists’ creative multi-media skills and entrepreneurial abilities to enable them to be employed or to create enterprises in the cultural industries. AKE is a first in the trialing and development of a new integrated model for skills and enterprise development in the creative multi-media sector in Africa.   AUC’s Banjul +10 event, taking place in Banjul Gambia, started on 21 May, 2016 and will come to a close on 25 May 2015.   Download Concept Note here Download Program
