Advanced ICT Training for teachers in Kiambu and Nyamira Counties in Kenya

400 teachers undergo face to face training in bid to encourage usage of ICTs in teaching and learning.
8th - 12th April 2019: Teachers from 40 secondary schools in Nyamira and Kiambu Counties in Kenya were taken through an advanced training on use of ICTs in Education.The teachers have been trained since 2017 through the African Digital Schools Initiative (ADSI0 and they say their teaching has since evolved. Speaking after the first session of the training, a teacher from Nyamira County said "Technology is an amazing thing, it keeps changing, The African Digital Schools Initiative (ADSI) programme is helping us stay up to date with changing aspects in teaching with technology." This training precedes a similar training in Narok and Taita Taveta Counties.The ADSI project is also under implementation in Tanzania and Coté d'Ivoire and is funded by Mastercard Foundation, Canada.
