GESCI has this week joined several international education enthusiasts and development partners in New York, USA for the Sustainable Education Meeting aimed at pushing ICT in Education initiatives: expectations and way forward to achieve the SDGs. GESCI co-chairs the Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA) ICT In Education Cluster with the African Union which has been discussed in one of the sessions during the meeting. The CESA 2016-2063 strategy aims at transforming education in Africa. Education is one of the key areas under GESCI’s core mandate to work with governments and institutions to spearhead integration of ICT in teaching and learning. The meeting was attended by  the French President, Emmanuel Macron, UN Secretary General Antônio Guterres, Prime Minister of Norway, Her Excellency Erna Solberg among other dignitaries.
