The objective of the meeting was to establish the Coalition of Partners for implementing CESA. In this regards, it identified strategic themes calling for the grouping of partners into CESA Clusters and agreed on roles and responsibilities of partners. GESCI was represented by Senior Programme Development Specialist Dr. Tarek Chehidi who participated in the meeting as member of the technical team that drafted CESA 16-25. GESCI was also attending as a partner and made a presentation of its major ongoing programmes that can support the implementation of CESA 16-26. GESCI also submitted a proposal to AUC for the “ICT in Education Cluster” which will include ministries, international and regional organizations, development partners, the private sector and experts to drive the implementation of Strategic Objective 3 of CESA: “Harness the capacity of ICT to improve access, quality and management of education and training systems”.
