GESCI launches ‘Leadership Network for Sustainable Development’

Leaders in Africa intent on pushing the SDGs agenda are invited to join the network and participate in discussions at www.leadership4sd.org
GESCI launched the 'Leadership Network for Sustainable Development' on June 9, 2016. The leadership network was launched during the 2nd African Ministerial Forum on ICT Integration in Education and Training, which took place in Abidjan, June 8-9, 2016. Over 150 participants attended the Forum, including 22 African countries. The network comprises decision makers, government officials and experts, practitioners and researchers joining together to strengthen Africa’s capacities to implement the SDGs. It will build on the network developed by GESCI through its African Leadership in ICT and Knowledge Society Development (ALICT) capacity building program, which has reached out to leaders in 16 African countries. Seven ALICT leaders having successfully participated and graduated from GESCI’s ALICT program participated in the launching of the network, officially inaugurated by GESCI’s CEO, Jerome Morrissey. Leaders in Africa intent on pushing the SDGs agenda are invited to join the ‘Leadership Network for Sustainable development’ discussions at www.leadership4sd.org
