Play Every Day, brings together an amazing line-up of 70+ presenters from around the world highlighting a range of tech and non-tech play-based interventions for formal and non-formal educational settings.  Presenters were competitively selected from the Alliance's 2020 Symposia and

COVID-19 EdTech idea pitch call submissions, and many of whom will speak about the need for and their experiences with play and games in the EdTech response to worldwide COVID-19 school closures.   As is tradition with the in-person symposia, presenters and participants will benefit from a variety of innovative knowledge exchange formats (e.g. lighting talks, interviews, expos, demonstrations, gallery ‘walks’) and lots of fun game play and other networking opportunities including engaging in a virtual escape room experience and enjoying a math-focused concert. GESCI is a member of the Mobiles for Education Alliance steering committee and will be participating in the event, sharing approaches on ICT in Education which is in line with our mission to work with governments and partners in providing strategic supports to develop and implement models of good ICT-based practice for high-quality education & training and to build effective leadership abilities in ICT and Knowledge Society development among Government officials across the Developing world. The Alliance is currently comprised of 24 steering committee organizations that are all committed to reducing barriers to access appropriate, scalable, and low-cost technologies in order to help improve learning outcomes in formal and non-formal education across all levels, especially in low-resource and developing country contexts. The Alliance is committed to an ethical and holistic approach to understanding the impacts, accessibility, and inclusivity of a broad range of technologies in education.
