#COVID19Kenya : GESCI Trained Teacher develops an automated handwash and water dispenser

Mr Stanley Njagua Kiguta is a teacher of Physics and Computer Studies at Gachororo Secondary School in Kiambu County Kenya, one of the 80 secondary schools implementing the African Digital Schools Initiative (ADSI) Programme in Kenya. Mr Kiguta joined the programme in January 2020 and has gone through the coding training that was introduced in schools this year.Using skills acquired, he has developed an automated hand wash and water dispenser for use when cleaning hands to contain the spread of the corona virus. The ADSI Programme is implemented by GESCI in Kenya, Tanzania and Cote d'Ivoire.It is funded by Mastercard Foundation,Canada.
