Providing Strategic and Technical Advice
GeSCI's strategic advice is informed by experience in-the-field; good practice as identified by GeSCI and other organisations and experts; research and analysis and knowledge building activities. GeSCI tailors the strategic advice rendered to the local context to ensure that it is relevant and takes into consideration local conditions, resources and constraints. GeSCI renders strategic advice on the planning, acquisition, deployment, use and integration of ICT into education.
The advice is usually in the form of technical inputs into processes (including decision making), programme design, implementation and management and policies and strategies. The application of GeSCI’s strategic advice usually culminates in one or all of the following: ICT in Education policies and strategic plans; deployment or action plans; institutional and staffing changes; budgets and resourcing plans; partnerships forged and the successful deployment of ICT.
