Country

GeSCI works with a small number of carefully selected countries in a systematic and systemic way to build their capacity to make informed and strategic decisions on the proper use of ICT to address their educational challenges and to achieve their broader development objectives in the context of a knowledge society.

At this level, GeSCI is committed to its primary strategic partner – the MoE. When working with an MoE GeSCI adopts the system wide approach, encouraging MoEs to think about ICT deployment holistically by considering the end-to-end system that is coordinated and comprehensive as seen below.

The overall objective of GeSCI country programme strategy is to ensure that countries are empowered with the capacity to effectively and economically plan for, acquire, deploy, use and integrate ICTs in the education system. Learn more about GeSCI’s approach to capacity building.
